Eastman Kodak has signed an agreement with TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) for the production of CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor) image sensors. Combined with the output of VisEra Technology, a joint venture with Omnivision, TSMC is said to be the largest producer of CMOS image sensors. Kodak orders are expected to hit mass production before the end of 2005.
